NEW MOON: Feb-24-2009 08:35 p.m. est 06'35" Pisces
On Feb 24th 2009 at 8:35 pm est, there will be a new moon at 6'35" of Pisces. The new moon always signifies new beginnings and in Pisces this is a time for us to channel our beliefs into new imaginative and creative projects that enhance our divine feelings for life.
Pisces is a sign of sacrifice to make way for a new cycle to come. It symbolizes the melting snow as winter surrenders into spring. Yet, the new moon is the new cycle. How can we reconcile this? As the last sign of the zodiac, ruled by Neptune (divine love), Pisces symbolizes surrender of the lower self to the higher forces of light and love.
If we sacrifice anything, it is our egos, our desires for power over others, our delusions of importance, and our ability to inflict hurt on others. As we learn to embrace this kind of sacrifice willingly, we open ourselves to a higher consciousness that transcends petty jealousies and immature rantings and instead imbues our lives with a renewed spirit of belief in ourselves- our real selves (stripped of illusory distractions).
It is always difficult for the aspirant to "let go and let God," or for the "unwilling" individual
who nevertheless is evolving despite themself, to know how to release their hold on unfulfilling dreams or lost hopes. Yet it is the ability to let go of the "maya" or delusions of life that brings us the light.
There is a direct relationship between how we perceive the physical world and how much we make our perception depend on the intangible world of our imaginations and dreams. By sacrificingly letting go of "false" or never-to-be realized imaginations, we may start a new cycle by opening ourselves to a fresh sense of inspiration and new feelings of hope and belief that can drive our spirit to achieve new heights.
